Conductor
These days, it is a plus if a company’s employees undergo trainings, obtain certifcation and licenses. My husband, for example, has undergone a lot of trainings and certification classes in the lst 10 years. There’s good news for companies who really go the distance and make sure that their employees are trained, certified or licensed.
There is now a training management software which allows companies to track their employees’ training and education. It is called Conductor and it allows companies to organize and oversee employee trainings with ease. The Conductor Learning Management System LMS software combines Employee Tracking, Curriculum Develpment, Curriculum Design, Training Scheduling, Training Tracking, Training Registration and Reporting.
This software will definitely improve a company’s training program and make the administrator’s job a tad easier.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe

One of our favorite places for quick eats, primarily because of its proximity to our house, is Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We normally just walk to the place. Now that we’re starting to really feel the summer heat, I’m betting more and more people are trooping to TSC.

On our last mother-daughter date, Abby and I each had a smoothie, she, her usual Choco-Banana smoothie, made with Ghirardelli’s finest chocolate and bananas, and I, Orange Dream, which is made with Ghirardelli’s finest white chocolate and low fat yogurt. Abby ended up liking my smoothie than hers. I’m not surprised. That happens all the time.

A typical TSC meal for Abby is the Cheese Quesadilla & Chips Combo. She only finishes two slices of the quesadilla at most.

My current favorite is the Tuscan Turkey sandwich (half order) made with Turkey, spicy pepper jack cheese, crisp romaine lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette.
I could use an Orange Dream Smoothie just about now. *sigh*

Upside Living
I may have put my professional life (that is of architect and designer) on hold indefinitely, but my love for everything artistic, decorating and the like will always come to the surface. If I had the extra budget, I will probably go crazy decorating our leased townhouse. And I will most probably start in the kitchen.
I spend a great deal of time in the kitchen, my “home office”. I chanced upon some fabulous Italian pottery at the website of Upside Living while I was doing some research work for an upcoming trade show. And I have to say, people who have a taste for the finer things in life, not to mention the budget to afford it, will love this site and its products.
Not only do they have Italian Pottery, they have a fine selection of home decor, which includes, Spanish pottery, area rugs, art sculptures, painted glassware, luxury pet products, pillows and throws and many more. In the garden decor category, they have tiki torches, weathervanes, windchimes, house numbers, outdoor heaters, fire pits and a host of other garden products. There are luxury gift options, too.
The site has very useful and interesting information about the various methods and techniques that were employed to come up with the different products. These will help site visitors understand what makes Upside Living products unique and truly luxurious. Truly Upside Living equals luxury.

TMA #4: Anchovies
Yes, I like anchovies. In the Philippines, they are called “dilis” and are a key ingredient in the country’s favorite seasoning, patis or fish sauce. Growing up, the sweetened, crispy anchovies are one of my favorite appetizers in Japanese and Korean restaurants. It’s a favorite beer chow among Filipinos, too!
That’s my answer to : Do you like anchovies? Have you tried them?

Buy Snow
We missed carousing in the snow last winter. To think we even got invitations from our friends in Colorado! They were already planning on taking us skiing and snowboarding, forgetting one tiny bit of detail, that is, we don’t know how to ski and snowboard. They said it will not be a problem as there are beginner slopes anyway. They swore we would like it so much we might even end up buying our very own Burton snowboards, their snowboards of choice. Well, we’ll see about that. For now, I will be happy just to have my hands on some gorgeous Burton ski apparel like the jackets, beanies, backpacks, t-shirts, etc. I can already imagine my daughter looking so cool in her ski outfit. Hee hee.
