Key Ingredient
Being a stay-at-home-mom, I cook and bake a lot. Often, I would print recipes from the internet and then just shove them in the kitchen drawer when I’m through with them. So when time comes and I want to cook a particular dish again, guess what, I can’t find the recipe anymore! Are you anything like me? Hee hee. If you are, then you’d be happy to know that we can now better organize our recipes.
Hello Key Ingredient! Key Ingredient is a website where you can store your favorite Easy Recipes, the more complex ones and even your most-guarded-handed-down-from-generation-to-generation ones! Don’t worry, it’s all upto you whether you want to make your recipes public and share them with fellow home chefs or you can lock ‘em up and keep them secret from everyone else. It’s like your online recipe sharing website. You get to take a peek at the favorite recipes of others, too…which you might also end up liking!
I’ve only uploaded one recipe so far just to get a feel of the site. And I’m liking it. I have so many more recipes to upload. Want to take a look?
I feel recipes will make their way to my site via this cool Key Ingredient widget.
I’ve blabbed way, too much already. Go check it out for yourself and like me, you might find it cool as well! Happy recipe organizing and sharing!

Plastic Grocery Bag Origami
Here is where we keep our plastic grocery bags. We’ve got loads of it! This little cabinet used to be filled with plastic bags that we can no longer see the back. We even forgot that we kept phone directories here! It was just packed!

It was transformed to this when relatives came to visit us last month.

Tito (Uncle) Kit, hubby’s uncle priest, taught us a method of neatly folding the grocery bags, something he learned from the seminary. And this cabinet looking like this now is his handy work. He folded most of the plastic bags all by himself with very little help from hubby and me. Hee hee. :) Do we follow this method now? As much as we can. :) Or, we simply keep the bags somewhere else. Hahaha!

Here’s the step by step guide to plastic bag folding:
1. Lay the plastic bag likeso on a flat surface with the print on top.

2. Fold it in half.

3. Fold it in half again.

4. Pull up the lower left corner of the bag and fold it in an angle likeso…making a triangle.

5. Work your way up keeping the traingle pattern that you’ve already got going until you reach the bag handles.

6. Tuck the bag handles in the pocket on one side of the triangle.

7. Tadaaa!

There. You can do this while watching tv. Or ask your kids to do it when you ground them or for time-out! ;) Happy folding! ![]()

Princess Quarters
A furniture catalog came in the mail today. While we don’t really have any urgent need for new furniture as of the moment, I did flip through its pages. What I liked though were the baby furniture. They were just so adorably cute. We never really had any real store-bought baby furniture when Abby was still a baby except for some shelves. Presently, she sleeps in a small bed inside our bedroom. Come to think of it, mybe it’s about time we transformed Abby’s room into a legitimate sleeping quarters fit for our little princess. ![]()

Dallas Bound
I just got off the phone with my Oklahoma-based friend, Ted. He and his family are inviting us to meet up with them in Dallas for the Memorial Day Weekend. Ted’s wife, Ann, will be celebrating her birthday this coming Saturday. We accepted, of course! I really want to go back to Dallas because I want to take flower pics at the Dallas Arboretum!
Speaking of flowers, I’m thinking of sending Ann some for her birthday. Do you think she’d like that? Because personally, I would! I’ve already googled for Dallas florists and found GiftTree.com. I do think it makes a lot more sense to order flowers from a Dallas based florist. I’m still debating between a bouqet of roses, a flower arrangement in a basket or a combination of flowers and balloons, all of which are available at the GiftTree.
I will have to make a final decision tonight. While the GiftTree is capable of same day delivery, it will just make me feel better if I do it ahead of time. I don’t want to risk forgetting about it! I am so looking forward to the weekend already! ![]()

WW #12: Heaven On a Plate

The more sinful the dessert the better. Photo taken at Circles of the Makati Shangri-la Hotel, Philippines. Gosh, I miss hotel buffets in the Philippines.
One more WW entry HERE. More WW HERE.
