Appetizer Craving

May 22nd, 2008

I was going through some photos from home looking for food adventures and food pics I can share here and I saw this…

Aaaawwwww!  I am very much capable of torturing myself.  :D This is hubby’s and my favorite appetizer platter from Burgoo (I wonder if it’s still around!).  Actually, we see it as appetizer and viand (ulam) in one.  The platter includes buffalo wings, Sante Fe spring rolls, mozzarella sticks and onion rings.  Burgoo is our favorite casual dining restaurant for American food.

This looking for food pics isn’t helping me at all as I try to control my food intake.  I just made myself hungry.  Argh!

Invest Wisely

May 22nd, 2008

If you had money to invest how would you go about investing it?  Will do research on the computer, ask the advise of friends, or simply base everything on gut feel?  While there are a wealth of information available on the internet, I personally will feel more secure if I had an expert investment  advisor to help me decide where I should put my hard earned money.  That’s exactly what George Divel does and his philosophy is, “You can get the research from a computer, but what you can’t get is experience and judgment.”  I am all for an investment advisor who is willing to get to know his clients and makes recommendations that lead to a person achieving his/her financial goals.  Are you wise that way, too?

Emilia’s Kuechen

May 22nd, 2008

Who is Emilia and what is “Kuechen”?  Emilia is my Mom, but she doesn’t want to be called that.  Hee hee.  She prefers Emy or Emily.    Kuechen is the German word for kitchen.  We had to take a photo in front of this store called, Emilia’s Kuechen, when we were windowshopping at a place called Taulusanlage in Germany.  This store sells assorted sandwiches.  The sandwiches are huge and the fillings all look so yummy.  We didn’t have any though.  Just took a picture.  Hee hee! :P
