WS #27: T & S Seafood Restaurant

We had a most wonderful dimsum lunch today at T&S Seafood Restaurant.  It was in December 2007 when I first posted an entry on T&S.  I revisited that entry and I found it kinda funny to realize that we feasted on practically the same variety of dimsum.  Just in case you get curious, you can find that entry HERE.

Here’s what we had for lunch…

Shrimp Wrapped in Egg Noodle

Turnip Cakes

Chicken Feet (Did I just hear somebody say “Eeeew!”?)

Shrimp with Mushroom

Shrimp with Scallop (Obviously, we love shrimps!)

Fried Taro Puff

Hakao

Egg Custards for dessert

a bowl of Tofu with Caramel Syrup (taho as we call it in the Philippines) for Abby

Oooh la la!

How about another “ooh la la”? Hee hee.

I love it when Abby eats with gusto. As for me, I’ve lost count how many times I said “Uhhhhmmmm” during lunch. We just absolutely love dimsum. What the heck, we’re addicted! If there’s such a thing as drug treatment or drug rehab for dimsum addiction, we are very good candidates. Hee hee. The same goes for my family back home! I can eat at T & S Seafood Restaurant every Sunday. Sunday is the only day they have dimsum on rolling carts. It just won’t be the same experience on other days. :D

Have a great week ahead! :)

Pony Party

Abby has been to two birthday parties over the weekend.  Kids can’t get enough of parties.  Hee hee.  Abby’s looking forward to another birthday party, her classmate’s, in a couple of weeks.  It’s a pony party and it’s going to be a first for Abby and maybe a first for most of the invited kids, too!  Abby has ridden a real horse back home though - twice in Baguio City and at once at a children’s fair at the Marco Polo Club in Makati City.  Needless to say, it’s been a while since Abby’s last “riding” experience.  Even I am secretly looking forward to this pony party.  I’m already wondering how many ponies will there be and if they’ll be donning english saddles. Hmmm, I won’t have to wait too long for the answer. Giddyap! :)

Lasang Pinoy, Sundays #15: Foods of Gold

“You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky; As we eat the foods of gold.” Hee hee. Sorry, Sting!  I just had to borrow these two lines from one of your hit songs.

This week’s Lasang Pinoy, Sundays’ theme is “Fried/Golden”.  Let’s face it, a lot of the best tasting, tummy tickling, finger-licking foods out there are the ones which are fried to a golden brown.  Why?  I don’t know really.  Sad as it may seem, but there’s something about greasy, sinful food that just appeals to everyone who couldn’t care less about calories, fats and slimp pants.  And that includes this blogger. Hee hee.

Here are some homemade goldies…

Camaron Rebosado (100% Made from Scratch)

Breaded Pork Chop (I used a storebought breading mix for this one!)

Here are golden food treasures from fastfoods and restaurants…

French Fries and Chicken Nuggets

Jollibee Fried Chicken (Give me some skin!)

Mixed Tempura

It’s a good thing that I’m still much too full to be craving any of the above listed food.  That might not be the case a few hours from now.  Hee hee hee.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, y’all!
