I didn’t realize that Las Vegas Golf courses are fast gaining popularity. It doesn’t come as a surprise though because if I’m not mistaken, one can play golf in Vegas the whole year round.  Plus, like candies in a candy store, there are so many golf destinations to choose from!  Three of them are Royal Links Golf Club,
Desert Pines Golf Club and Bali Hai Golf Club.  If I were an avid golfer and budget is not an issue, of the three, my personal pick would be the Bali Hai Golf Club, recognized as one of “America’s Top 40 Resort Courses” by GolfWeek Magazine and the “Best Course in Las Vegas” by VegasGolfer Magazine.  The best part, at least for me, is that it’s located right smack on the strip, the center of Vegas action.  ;)  One can very easily switch from one Vegas activity to another.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I received a gift card from Conn’s worth $50.00.  The wonderful thing about it is that there’s no catch.  None at all!  It’s a very welcome change from the usual offers for credit card, car and health insurance quote and real estate offers and other junk mails that we receive on a daily basis.  Other times, we get a discount card worth  $10 or $15 from other popular retail stores but the discount can only be availed after a minimum purchase has been met.  With the Conn’s gift card, we were free to spend it as we choose.  So last Saturday, we headed to Conn’s after attending a children’s party.  These are the two things we bought with our gift card…

…a 7-quart Hamilton Beach crock pot worth $29.97 and

…a Dirt Devil hand vacuum worth $19.99.

I originally planned on buying a smaller crock pot (4-quart) and an oven toaster.  But I was told that it would be better if I got a bigger crock pot.  I don’t know if it was a ploy so we would spend more or if the sales associate was just being helpful.  Anyway, in the end, we ended up with these two and we stayed within the fifty-dollar limit.  Actually, plus tax, our total went up to about $54.++.  But we were told we no longer had to pay for the amount over $50.  Hee hee.  I love my new loots.  I can’t wait to use the crock pot!  Thank you, Conn’s!  I hope this isn’t the last gift card from you!  Hee hee.
