Hi Vero! My little girl loves Yakult, too! And she loves celery sticks with a blue cheese dip....which is quite a surprise to me. Hahaha! Thanks for leaving a comment! :D

Hi Alet! Thanks for leaving a comment. :) Involving the kids in healthy food choices is good practice. But setting a good example is the hardest part. Kudos to you! ;)

Hi Shasha! Thank you for leaving a comment and congratulations on winning! Please do get in touch with me right away. I already sent you an email. I have to submit the winning names/addresses all at one time.

I'm glad you finally de-lurked yourself. :) Thank you for taking time out to read about my food adventures. I took cake decorating lessons and I think it helped a lot that I have a strong foundation in the field of art and design. ;) But anyone can decorate a cake! We all just need a little push. Check out the Michael's outlet nearest your home and ask about their Wilton cake decorating classes. :)

Keeping snack time healthy and appealing at the same can really be challenging. But you're right, it is not impossible! :)

Hi Hazel! Mom of the Year? Hahaha! Not me! :D You're as sweet as ever!

Colors and shapes always make for a fun snack, and fruits - a healthy snack! I am also first to admit that snacks aren't always healthy here at home...what with all the baking that I do! Hee hee. Thanks for leaving a comment and congratulations on winning! :)

Kids love to snack! Aside from the tried-and-true typical snacks for kids. They usually pick
Yogurt and Yakult for their daily energy drinks. Then at home, we make veggie, cheese and
fruit cut-outs with a dip.

Whenever possible, i get my son involved. First, I let him pick his choices of fruits, veggies, yogurt flavors, etc. in the grocery. Then he helps me with the preparation/cooking. Lastly, I set a good example by also eating healthy snacks. ;)

hi! this is my first time to leave a comment on your blog. First thank you very much for a very informative blog... i enjoy reading all your posts and learn a lot from it. I hope i can be able to be as good as you in cake decorating... i really want to learn how to... did you go to any workshop or your a self taught great mama?

How do i keep snack time healthy for kids? I dont have kids yet bu with the meals we prepare at home wei enjoy making shapes and putting different colors to the food less sugar the better since we have a diabetes history. yogurt will always be a healthy choice. Its a challenge to make snack time so appealing to kids but then its never going to be impossible!

Hi Weng! Again, you should be awarded as "Mom of the Year". With the eagerness to share all tips for the good of "womankind" (in your honour ;) ) no one can surpass you...

So how do I keep snacktime healthy and fun for my kids? I try to put colors and shape in ther food... which I have done only recently. I try to give them fresh fruits and drinks, bhenever I buy their food/snacks/drinks, i also try to read the info/nutrition label... it should be 100% juice, no sugar added... those with unavoidable sugar, I try to give them as occasional treats, or on special occasions... but nobody's perfect... so sometimes, i am guilty of slipping off from this rule... but to a minimum if it happens ;)
