Green Beans and Shrimps Bento
My daughter’s favorite vegetables are spinach, green beans, chayote and squash. And she eats them with so much gusto, not to mention a lot of brown rice, too! Hee hee. Early this month, she had Green Beans and Shrimps Bento for her school lunch…

This is very easy and quick to make! I just stir-fried some ginger, minced garlic, green beans and shrimps and added a bit of sesame seed oil, chinese cooking wine, oyster sauce and a dash of salt and pepper. Mushrooms would have been in the ingredients list but I ran out.

My daughter has come a long way since her pre-school years. She used to only want sushi and dumplings/shumai for lunch. But now, she even requests that I pack her viand and rice for lunch.
We’re in the homestretch of the 2009-2010 school year. I only have about 2-weeks of lunch-making left before I can give my daughter’s assortment of lunch bags and food containers a much needed rest for the summer . June is just around the corner, the month of weddings.. Unforunately, there are no wedding invitations for us. Oh well!
Cheers, y’all and have a great weekend!
