Chocolate and Flowers
My daughter’s teacher celebrated her birthday last month, coinciding with the class’ Halloween activities. While Halloween is not celebrated in school with a party, teacher’s birthdays are. ;) Much to the kids’ delight, they got away with Halloween cupcakes (because it’s the teacher’s birthday!). I made my daughter’s teacher a simple birthday cake. I wanted her to be able to take something home and enjoy with her family.

It was a terribly busy week for me and a Hershey’s Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake decorated with fondant flowers and leaves was all I had time for. Nevertheless, it was a cake that was lovingly made.

I piped kisses on the top and bottom borders of the cake. Chocolate, flowers and kisses…how can one go wrong? ;)

On the center of the cake were the teacher’s initials, dusted with pink pearl dust, like the flowers on the cake. I didn’t want the cake to look like the kids’ name plates so I decided to use just the teacher’s initials. Pink and green, are her favorite colros, by the way.
It was a wonderful birthday celebration. Ms. LM was obviously overwhelmed. She more than deserved all the love and appreciation she was showered with that day. I just love birthdays…and amazing teachers!

That is adorable.
