My Little Pony Cake

We went on a road trip last weekend to visit long time dear friends who live just outside of Dallas.  I could not resist making and bringing along a cake for my girl friend’s daughter, who adores Twilight Sparkle of My Little Pony.  Besides, it’s not very often that I get to make something for friends from way way back, as far back as high school.

I did not do a very elaborate cake design, as you can see.  You don’t have to tell me it’s a little too simple.  The cake is screaming for a rainbow.

The pony, Twilight Sparkle, and her tail were cut out of gum paste.  I didn’t stick them on the cake until the following morning (we arrived late Friday night), when the recipient was up and about and ready to be surprised.  Hee hee.

Alianna seemed to really like her cake.  She didn’t even look for a rainbow. :)  She and my daughter couldn’t stop touching the pony. Ah, little girls and ponies. Hee hee. :)

Incidentally, Alianna celebrates her birthday next week.  Happy Birthday, Sweetie!  Cheers! *muah*

PS:  Did you notice that this is my 3rd consecutive cake entry? :D  I may be making a lot of cakes but I haven’t really been eating a lot of ’em.  Having said that, there’s no need to take apidexin and worry about apidexin side effects. I’m just saying. ;)

Thank you very very much (again) for this cake! She really loves it so much that, for three straight days, she has invited various friends of hers from the neighborhood to come up and see (and eat!) her cake. Yabang no? Haha! She sees to it that she keeps Twilight safe and sticks her on the cake every time a friend comes over to visit. Sobrang proud and happy :) Needless to say, you and I have been giving some kids over here a sugar high, haha! :)

We hope you can come back for her bday celeb! Will email you the details. *muah*

She looks really cute, great job! Yeah, a rainbow somewhere would have been nice. I like how you kept to the graphic style of the tv series. If I were a little girl and had this as my cake I’d be trilled too. Maybe for her next birthday if she’s still into the show you can do the whole cast!

Hi Kelly! Thank you. I was pressed for time (by perennial excuse!) so I was unable to add a rainbow. Wow, a whole cast of ponies on a cake. That will probably drive me mad. Hahaha! Thank you for dropping by!
