ABCs and 123s Birthday Cake
It’s 2am. I just finished making a couple of decorations for cakes I’m making this weekend. And since my brain is still in “cool down” mode, I thought I’d squeeze in a blog entry before I get some Zs.
So here’s another cake entry. Don’t get tired of my cake entries just yet because after this weekend, there’ll be more coming your way! *wink* This is an ABCs and 123s – themed cake for the third birthday of a little boy who now knows his, you guessed it, ABCs and 123s…
One, two, TRE! Next time, won’t you sing and count with him? Hee hee. This is a chocolate chiffon cake with homemade strawberry filling (made with fresh strawberries!). The colors I used were the very same ones on the invitation.
The cake, I’ll be quick to admit, looked a little, err, beginner-ish. Nevertheless, the birthday boy loved it. As soon as the cake took its place on the cake table, he didn’t waste any time calling out the numbers and letters that he recognized. He also took one of the gumpaste balloons and munched on it. Kids and their simple joys. :)
That’s all I have for you…for now…at this hour. I better hit the sack. I’m not quite ready to include revitol in my shopping list just yet!
